PHILOSOPHY

We believe in Pretty1. Good Design is by its very nature Pretty. It finds inspiration in the little details2 that often go overlooked, as well as the spaces between them. Good design explores the interstices and reshapes the horizon.

Pretty does not require a large factory firm with slews of specialists, each locked into his own particular design cubicle, unable to raise his head above its drab walls. It needs nothing more than a team dedicated to an ideal of cost-effective

quality and the premise of "collaborate, not compromise".

We call this the A-team mentality.

While every member performs a certain role, be it visual or verbal, each is dedicated to the craftsmanship of the overall product and to its success. Hannibal Smith needed only three highly trained, extremely competent operatives to continually outwit and outrun the largest, best-funded army in history.

We feel that good design does the same, though with much less welding and passenger van conversion needed.

The road to Pretty is a state of mind. We prefer that it not get clogged with the flotsam of a cookie cutter, prefab cubicle world. Please help us clear the clutter by boycotting one-size-fits-all design.

WHAT WE DO.

CAPABILITIES

When people ask us what we offer, we tell them one simple word: “Ideas.” When people ask us what we do, we answer with two more words: “We believe.”

We value three things: creativity, independence, and creative independence.3 We don’t try to think outside of any boxes; we like to imagine a world without boxes. In an era where even drive-thru orders can be outsourced, ideas are the most precious

commodity available. Creativity is the ultimate and only true renewable resource. Everything must start with
an idea.

But an idea will bear fruit only if there is belief behind it.

We are strong believers of believing. In ourselves. In the people with whom we are privileged to interact every day, from clients to vendors to fellow

collaborators. In the principles4 by which we live and work. In good design. In traveling light and laughing long. In beauty and joy.
