Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this 3-day weekend event held at Hardkohr Sports & Fitness in beautiful York County. As a USTA-sponsored Middle States tennis tournament, the Max Power Challenge (Part Deux) is open to players from Delaware, New Jersey, and all over Pennsylvania.
When I think of tennis, I think of Andre Agassi's flowing locks held back by a sweat-stained neon pink Nike headband - or more accurately, the flowing locks of his hairpiece held back by a sweat-stained neon pink headband.
I reminisce about the rubber band he used to dampen the strings of his Head racket. I remember the time that my dad took me to see my hero, Steffi Graf, play in the finals of the Advanta Indoor Championship with her trusty Wilson racket - or more accurately, play a couple games against Jana Novotna and her trusty Yonex and then default for the first time in her career (and not even get her Adidas duds sweaty). I remember the way Michael Change always wore Aircasts and wondered if doing so would help me improve my game or if he was just as big a dork as he seemed.
Oh, memories...such a simpler time of superstar pro athlete brand endorsements.
