To have a great idea, have a lot of them.

- Thomas A. Edison

When people ask us what we offer, we tell them one simple word: "Ideas." When people ask us what we do, we answer with two more words: "We believe."

We believe in good ideas. We believe in ourselves. In not just trying to think outside the box but imagining a world without boxes.

Because skills can be outsourced and talent can only take you so far but an idea can live forever. In a world of scarcity, creativity is our only true renewable resource.

Good ideas come from collecting questions and walking edges. From being open to opportunity. From living and learning. From traveling light and laughing long.

They find meaning in the spaces between and in the details that are often overlooked.

Planted once, a good idea needs only time, nurturing, and the occasional ounce of courage to bear fruit indefinitely.

So we write. We design. We read. We brainstorm. We dream. We question. We collaborate. And from this, we create.

Ideas in Action

GO Portfolio.

Proto, Inc.

Q: How do you get experience straight out of school when people only hire those with experience? Can you mentor the next generation of young designers and develop their talent while maintaining a profitable business model? Can you help your future competition in the spirit of collaboration without succumbing to rivalry and paranoia?

A: Part graphic design studio, part apprenticeship program, Proto is the action that carries out GO's vision. A steady influx of young proteges contribute elbow grease on projects while learning the creative thinking skills and processes that produce good ideas. The thinkers and dreamers at GO manage every project, often pitching in their own designs, to ensure that everything meets their exacting standards.

Q: Why do non-profits have to resort to clip art? Can you gather talented artists, designers, photographers, and writers to collaborate on not-for-profit projects and produce great work in a 12-hour period?

A: Good work for those who do good. And a good time had by all.

Design-O-Rama-Thon brings good design to those who need it most but can least afford it. Creatives donate their time and skills for one day to work on graphic design projects for area non-profits in a marathon mashup of good design and do-goodery.
